Born and raised in Los Angeles to Iranian immigrant parents, Beeta Baghoolizadeh (PhD, History, University of Pennsylvania) was raised in the Iranian diaspora capital of the world, Tehrangeles. Currently, Beeta is an Assistant Professor of History and Africana Studies and is the artist behind Diaspora Letters. Contrary to her last name, she is not a fan of baghali polo.
