Polen Ly stopped his medical study to pursue his filmmaking path in 2012. His poetic short films and documentaries explore social issues related to human rights and nature. In 2015, his short film COLOURFUL KNOTS won first prize at Tropfest SEA, Malaysia. Polen was selected for Asian Film Academy in Busan, Korea in 2018. He is currently in production on the short documentary CEMETERY OF GREEN SOULS, which was selected for a fellowship at One World Media (London) and won an Honorable Mention prize at Tribeca Film Institute’s IF/Then Shorts Global Pitch.
